I’m a creative maker with a tendency to adopt every new artsy-crafty hobby that catches my eye. I’ve been like that my whole life and even in college, I couldn’t choose one discipline for a BFA, so I went for a Comprehensive Fine Art BA.

OiNA stands for Old is New Again. It means taking old or boring or beaten up goods and making them new and fresh. Turning lemons into lemonade. Finding purpose… or repurpose in everything.

As a self-professed nostalgia junkie, I am completely captivated with the aesthetics and ethos of past. From that, I’m driven to create with elements of past eras and create functional pieces. Even my paintings started becoming mixed media collage with bits of bygone eras creating ironic themes and content. Juxtaposition of past and present runs deep in every collection.

Whether it’s upcycled home decor, refashioned graphic tees or mixed media fine art with a nostalgic twist, it’s all about purpose and repurpose. It’s lifestyle, that’s your unique style.

I live in central Wisconsin and work out of my home studio as a part-time job. You can also find me selling cool vintage and modern fashion on Poshmark in OiNA’s Closet. As I hunt for treasures to flip artistically, I also hunt for treasures to resell (and to keep, let’s be honest - giving it up is the real challenge). It all mingles so well and I love the thrill of the hunt and the satisfaction of saving things and preserving the past in some way.
